What's included in the free story?
You get one complete story completely free — no card required. For Adventures (ages 5–11) that's a full 7-scene story. For Read Together (ages 2–4) that's a complete short story of 3–5 chapters. After that, a subscription unlocks up to 200 chapters per month and saves your characters to your account.
How does the story work?
For Adventures, your child creates a character and chooses the kind of story they want. Then they read and make choices — the story responds to every decision, running to a natural ending across 7 scenes. For Read Together, a parent and child shape the story together — short, gentle chapters designed to be read aloud.
Can they have more than one story at once?
Yes. Subscribers can have up to three characters running at the same time, each in a different story, each picking up exactly where they left off.
Is there a limit on how many stories we can read?
Each subscription includes up to 200 chapters per calendar month. In practice that's enough for around 28 complete Adventures stories — far more than most families will ever use. Read Together chapters count toward the same total. The limit resets on the first of each month, and we'll let you know if you're approaching it.
Is the content safe for children?
Becoming is written specifically for children aged 2–11. The content is warm, age-appropriate, and free from adult themes throughout.
What happens when I cancel?
You can cancel any time from your account. You keep full access until the end of your current billing period. On a monthly plan, there are no refunds — cancellation simply stops the next charge. On an annual plan, if you cancel within 30 days of purchase we'll refund you the annual fee less one month (£5.99) — just email us at hello@yourbecoming.app. After 30 days, annual plans are non-refundable but access continues until your renewal date.
Can I switch between monthly and annual?
Yes — you can switch at any point from your account settings. Switching to annual takes effect at your next renewal.
